Stéphane Thébaut: Open and functional with its large

By Florence Building-Pitcher sfs - Published 04/11/2013 Stéphane Thébaut, host of the show Deco "La Maison France 5", made us discover his apartment overlooking Lake Annecy. Meeting with a passion for unusual objects ...
There are eight, Stéphane sfs Thébaut chose to leave Paris with his family for a less urban environment. It is on the shores of Lake Annecy in the Haute-Savoie, he settled, enjoying the quality of life of a region as it combines sea and mountain. What cracked Stéphane Thébaut for this residence with garden: direct access to the lake. Divided into nine apartments, she was housed in a former hotel. The day the writing met Stéphane mid-October, the temperature was already fall and he could not make his daily swim!
Stéphane Thébaut: The living room. It consists of a large open dining room and living room overlooking the terrace and the lake. In fact, I love all parts of my apartment because in each, I found an item or piece of furniture that reminds me of a story, that of an object that I mottled, recovered or processed.
Stéphane Thébaut :: I do not like the "total look" sfs much less the feeling of being in a showroom. During my shooting, I bought a lot with designers, artisans and designers. Today, I have a very heterogeneous sfs collection of objects. So, there is not a well-defined style, I am not in any contemporary or in any outdated or in any manufacturing or design. I need warmth and soul in an interior. The best proof is the astonishment of the people who come to me: for each object, I have a story to tell them. An interior is the story of a lifetime.
Stéphane Thébaut: The list is long. Without being exhaustive, I think first of a "massacre" zebu. It is a replica of the massacre since the skull is made of aluminum: a friend gave it to me for my fifty years. I also have several amazing lamps, not a single one comes from the supermarket. One was made from combustion chambers of jet engines by a Mr. Knight, established flea market St-Ouen, another was purchased from Louis-Marie Plancoët of Nimes, which recovers everything is old film equipment. This lamp is made from a roll of film - a negative - whose cells contain LEDs: the whole is placed on an old camera stand. I have a canvas with a hyper realistic panther looks like it will jump on you. Unusual as this horse's head. It has everything a patchwork: it is made from raw strips cut out of blank canvases. I found in Lisbon.
Stéphane Thébaut: Only trouble to take him, his weight! I have a wooden statue sfs which I am attached and I carry around for thirty two years in all my moves. I do not know neither the origin nor the artist is a friend who had given me when I was eighteen years old for my first apartment. You can see different interpretations: a woman with a child, a boxing sfs glove ... and as it weighs its weight, I'm even used to do weight training. It's more original than buying dumbbells Decathlon!
Stéphane Thébaut: The white for the walls. Then, depending on the time of year, I sprinkled parts colored spots. In winter, for the main part, I play on tones of beige, gray and brown. At this time, the sofa is covered with cushions cloth boiled in Arpin (spinning the legendary Savoy) wool, which gives a very pampering side. For children's rooms, I played the red and turquoise, and in mine, there is the last orange ... Your favorite purchase for the house? My famous horse head bought in May. I found in Gezo Brands, a creator who made outstanding things. He is creative director in an advertising agency but his passion is to recover antiques customize it. It has a shop showroom in the center of Lisbon.
